- On December 5, the U.S. Supreme Court denied "a plea from a tiny evangelical church in the Bronx to overturn New York City's ban on religious worship services at public schools." Now about 60 groups have to look for a new place to hold their Sunday services and other church activities.

When the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD opened last month, "the hospital issued a memorandum late last month that updated its caretakers on changes in patient visitation rules. The updated policies quickly raised concerns over a passage that declared 'no religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading material and/or artifacts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit.'" Thankfully, this policy has been rescinded.

It looks like we are slowly losing our freedom to practice our beliefs. Let's pray for these things together this month:
1. That the Supreme Court would allow churches in New York to rent out public schools for service and other activities and for these churches to find a place to worship in the meantime.
2. For Christians to be placed in different positions of authority so that we can continue to influence this country instead of losing our rights.
3. For more intercessors to rise up and pray for these issues that affect our families, churches, communities, and this nation. (12/14/2011)
- An estimated 17,500 foreign nationals are trafficked annually in the US. The number of US citizens trafficked within the country are even higher. Please pray that the victims of human trafficking would be able to find a way out. Pray that more people would rise up to be advocates for these people.
- Each year 3.5 million Americans experience homelessness. Pray that the homeless would experience relief. As families gather together this month to celebrate Thanksgiving, may we be able to show compassion to those who don't have a family or home.
- Different ministries are planning to have prayer meetings across the country on 11/11/11. The Call will be holding a prayer meeting in Detroit, Michigan. Several ministries in Southern California are joining together at the Rose Bowl to pray for this nation. If any of these prayer meetings are local to you, please participate on this special day. If you are not able to make it to these prayer meetings, please intercede for this nation wherever you are.
- This Sunday will be the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Please especially pray for God's protection to be over the ceremonies that will take place this Sunday. Let's continue to pray that God would grant the leaders of this country wisdom and discernment. (9/6/11)

SB 48 will take effect January 2012 in public schools unless its implementation is stopped.
If you are in California, please go here to download the Stop SB 48 petition and have your church members sign it: http://stopsb48.com/get-involved/sign-the-petition/. This petition needs 750,000 signatures by September 30th.
