  • The California legislature has passed a bill (AB2567) that seeks to designate May 22 as Harvey Milk Day. Harvey Milk was a gay rights activist and member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. If this bill is signed into law by the governor, public schools and educational institutions will be encouraged to observe this day and carry out ‘commemorative exercises’ on this date so that students will learn about the life of Harvey Milk and his beliefs.   • As summer is now nearing to an end, let’s pray for our students as they go back to their schools this fall. Many have returned from missions trips, retreats, and other conferences. Pray that the students would not forget what they’ve learned and experienced. Pray that even at a young age, they would be role models and God’s light to all they encounter. (8/13/09)

Ask God to encourage and strengthen these believers that they may be bold and passionate about seeing revivals on their campuses. In the past, young people started many prayer movements and revivals.
